What Is NeuroEngineering?
It's time to take back control of your brain.
The internet is new. Most people’s brains are not adapted for it.There are so many opportunities. So much information. So much drama. So much politics. So many distractions that lead to excessive dopamine levels. It’s so easy for you to drown in pleasure that you fail to find enjoyment in achieving big goals in your life.Your drive is non existent.Your life force is sucked out of you.Your desire to succeed is there, but your pleasurable desires outweigh the desire to become your best self.It feels like the world is shoving advice down your throat.“Go to college and get this degree!”“Take cold showers if you want to be healthy!”“Start a low-cost business so you can make $10,000 a month with this easy-to-learn skill!”And still, even with all of this information…99% of people are not where they want to be in life. They can’t choose a career path. They can’t sit down to focus on their work or studies. They are stuck in an endless cycle of feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and uncertain about their lives. The clock is ticking…Pause and think:Have you gotten anywhere closer to your dream life in the past 5 years? If not, I may be able to help you.I am going to list off a few bullet points. If any of them relate to you, continue reading:
You are stuck at a job you hate. You know there is something better, but you don’t have clarity on how to get there.
It feels like you are still in the 4th grade. When someone asks you what you want to do with your life, you have no clue how to answer.
You feel like you don’t have time to study the skills that will increase your value in the new world (the ones that schools can’t, and won’t, teach you).
Even further, you feel like you don’t have the time to work on the projects, businesses, and tasks that will lead to a better life.
You don’t know what to study or where to find trustworthy information. Even if you did, you can’t get yourself to sit down and do the work.
When you do sit down to work, you have difficulty focusing for longer than 5 minutes. Your phone becomes more interesting than your dreams.
You have difficulty sticking to a goal for more than 2 weeks. You understand the need for consistent action, but can’t trick your brain into loving the process through psychology.
You get disappointed when you don’t see early progress. If life were a real video game, then it would be easy… but it’s not, or is it?
You don’t know what you want to do in your future, but you know it’s not what you are doing now.
If any of these spoke to you, I understand.I was in your shoes not too long ago.

Who Is This Guy?
From Flea Market Groundskeeper & Video Game Addict To Software Engineer & Psychological Performance Coach

I'm Joey Justice.
Hi! I'm the author!Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud
My name's Joey Justice.I've had what you might call an... unusual life so far. When I was 6, my dad forced my mom to quit her job.We got a pickup truck and a 26 foot camper trailer. We slept at gas stations.Walmart parking lots. And eventually, a flea market. We didn’t have much money. My dad bought, repaired, and sold the radios truck drivers use to communicate with each other. That was our only income source for years. When we got to the flea market, my dad took a job as the “groundskeeper”, which meant he was cutting the grass, taking out the trash, and managing the buildings. All that time, since I was young, I was unofficially homeschooled. I couldn’t go to actual school since we moved around so much. I wasn’t homeschooled because my dad didn’t want me to be.When I was 15, I took over my dad's job as the groundskeeper of that flea market. I picked up trash, cut the grass, and opened/closed the buildings.I was working 40 hours a week. I was paid $5/hour under the table. That $200 was pretty much all the money my parents and I had coming in - and I gave it all to them. When I was 16, my dad died. My mom got her nursing job back, got us an apartment, and got us on a new path toward a new life.I found a new life... but that life was in the online game World of Warcraft. I instantly became addicted. I played 12 to 16 hours most nights from when I started at 16 up til around I was 20.I had nothing else. No friends. No job. No schooling. No future.Literally.Around that time, I had gained weight - up to around 370lbs (168kg).I was prediabetic, I had low testosterone, and I could barely walk through the grocery store without sweating. One day, when I was 21 years old, it hit me...I had to change my life - or else I might not have much of a life left to live.I started losing weight.I started at a community college.I started working on a better future for myself, my mom, and my future family.Over the next few years, I…• Graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA from Chattanooga State Community College• Lost 170lbs, tested with above average testosterone, and ran a half marathon representing the Georgia Tech Triathlon Club• Got a Computer Engineering degree (with honors) from the Georgia Institute of Technology - one of the top 5 engineering universities in the countrySounds good… right?I thought I would be happy.I always imagined that when I lost weight, got my degree, and started my career as a software engineer…I would have it all figured out. I would start the best era of my life. I would have it all “figured out”.But something was wrong. My new career had good pay, a great work-life balance, and a location near the heart of my favorite city in the world (Atlanta, GA).But I felt unhappy. I felt unfulfilled. I felt disconnected from my new life.I quickly fell into a deep depression. I started eating junk food, binge drinking, and having panic attacks. Finally I realized what was wrong…What I was doing didn’t actually fit me.That’s where the idea of content creation was born.I had been self-educating in productivity, neuroscience, and psychology since summer 2018 as a personal interest to help me improve myself. But from the depths of my depression, an idea hit me, which was to start using what I had learned to help other people improve themselves. In May 2019, I started creating content, and since then… I’ve never looked back.I started a YouTube channel and have produced over 50 videos.I started a Twitter account and built an audience of 72,600 people.I started a productivity coaching business and have helped over 90 entrepreneurs one on one.I’ve also managed the 2500+ member Modern Mastery community which I run with my friend (Dan Koe - I’m sure you’ve heard the name) since May 2021.
Oh, and I became a brand consultant, ghostwriter, and agency manager with Dakota Robertson and his agency GrowthGhosts.I’ve written over 500 Twitter threads, helped our clients gain over a million followers combined, and helped them get follows from people like influencers, former presidents, and massive players in the entrepreneurial space.[transition into what i created and why]

THE CURRICULUM
How Will I Learn What I Need?
What you will learn over 30 days.
Module 0) NeuroEngineer 101
The NeuroEngineer 101 module will open 1 week before the cohort begins. This is an onboarding module that will help you get the most out of the cohort material. In this module, you will:
Gain a deeper insight into your current mindset, your strengths, and your weaknesses
Learn the fundamentals of the NeuroEngiener mindset so you can begin your evolution toward your desired self
Meet the other students in the cohort so you can build accountability
This module alone will get you a "quick win" by improving your mental awareness, clarity, and overall performance.
Notes to Dan:- Should I offer this module as a free download like you did for DE101? Or wait until later when the cohort is ran more like DE is now? I may risk people just getting NE101 instead of joining the cohort
Module 1) Identify Your Optimal Future to Avoid Daily Uncertainty
I often hear people talking about how they feel lost. They don't know what they work they can do that will meaning to their lives.Because of that, they don't know what they should be doing on a daily basis to experience that meaning. They are paralyzed. They feel like they're stuck. They beat themselves up for their lack of progress. And even when they do take action...It feels like something is holding them back. But they don't know what that something is.The answer to this problem is already inside of your brain. You just don't know how to uncover it... yet.The first module of the program is dedicated to:
Determining what you want out of life with my proven 5I System
Using a science-backed approach to setting goals (and actually achieving them)
Understanding your brain's unconscious "autopilot" - and how to reprogram it so it takes you where you want to go
Optimizing your neurochemistry for learning, creativity, and deep work
Your brain is the most complex thing in the known universe. And, once you learn how to use it effectively, the most powerful. This isn't science fiction.I've developed a system you can use to make your brain work for you rather than against you. This system has been based on my own learning, self-experimentation, and experience helping my 6 and 7 figure coaching clients maximize their performance.I've read hundreds of books, tried countless productivity "hacks", and spent thousands of dollars being mentored by some of the ??? ???.You'll learn this understanding in ??? period.
Notes to DanI feel like the last few lines of this section are kinda meh but I'm not sure why

Module 3) Consistency Is Key (Obviously) Here’s How You Never Miss A Day
There's one thing that separates those who achieve their goals and those who don't.It's the ability to consistently take the goal-directed actions despite the challenges that inevitably arise.I've seen people start off strong, build up momentum, and then...Something comes up.They falter. They miss a few days, a few weeks, or even longer. They get behind on the actions they know they should be taking. In seemingly a blink of an eye...They've lost all of the hard-won progress they made. And, even worse, they've lost the fire they had inside of them to achieve their goals. This is one of the most painful things you can experience. It can be incredibly hard to pull yourself up out of that state.I would know, because I've been there, and I had to develop ways to overcome it.An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.Having the right systems in place as you begin your journey will ensure you continue your journey no matter what external (or even internal) roadblocks appear in your path.In this module I will give you systems to:
Maintain your lifestyle so you don't fall into a downward spiral of negativity
Make decisions fast and stay focused on your future using my ADEPT system
Manage the distractions increasing the time to achieve your goals
Balance work and rest to avoid burnout, overwhelm, and resentment
Additional section goes hereShould I give an example of someone I've helped go from burnt out to succeeding?Dakota would be a good example for this. I wrote a case study of him last year. Aaron is another good one
